Mohan Babu University launches MBU Online with five degree programs

Mohan Babu University (MBU), an NAAC A+ accredited institution, has launched MBU Online, expanding its academic offerings to learners seeking undergraduate and postgraduate education through a digital platform.

The new initiative, supported by the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), currently offers five programmes covering management, commerce and computer applications. These include MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA and BCom.

MBU Online is aimed at fresh graduates, working professionals and entrepreneurs who want to pursue higher education while continuing with their professional or other commitments. The programmes are designed to support learners looking to acquire new qualifications, develop additional skills or prepare for career advancement.

The learning model combines live weekend classes with more than 400 hours of recorded video content. Students will also be able to take online examinations supported by AI-powered proctoring and access academic resources through the university’s Learning Management System (LMS).

The platform will provide learners with digital access to thousands of e-books, journals and research papers, along with virtual laboratory tools and opportunities to work on practical projects. Career support will form another component of the offering, including placement assistance, internships, career counselling, resume development and mock interview preparation. Students will also be able to connect with the MBU alumni network for mentorship.

Speaking about the launch, Vinay Maheshwari, Executive Director and Trustee, MBU, said the initiative aims to combine academic learning, industry relevance and professional development within a structured digital environment.

The programmes have been designed with industry requirements in mind. The Online MBA covers areas such as finance, marketing, operations and leadership through case studies, simulations and industry-oriented projects. The Online MCA includes subjects such as Natural Language Processing, full-stack web development, cyber laws and security, along with a capstone project.

MBU is a State Private University established under the Andhra Pradesh State Private Universities Act and has received a QS I-GAUGE Diamond rating. The university said MBU Online will leverage its existing academic, research, innovation and industry engagement ecosystem.
